Written to be read, not decoded. This governs every membership and every loan through Privé Rotations, whether you're borrowing as an individual or on behalf of a business.
Access to Privé Rotations is by approval only. Submitting a request does not guarantee membership, and we reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
To become a member, you must:
Membership is personal to the individual or business approved and may not be transferred or shared without our written consent.
Each item you borrow is governed by an individual loan agreement referencing these Terms, confirmed at the time of booking. That confirmation will set out the piece, the loan period, the fee, and any applicable deposit.
Title to every item remains with Privé Rotations at all times. Borrowing a piece grants you a limited, temporary right to possess and wear or use it for the agreed loan period only — it does not transfer ownership, and you may not pledge, sell, sublet, or encumber any item.
Loan periods are set at booking and begin on the date of delivery or pickup, not the date of the original request.
Loan fees are disclosed and agreed to before any charge is made. Accepted payment methods, billing timing, and security deposit practices are described in full on our Payment & Billing page, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You authorize Privé Rotations to charge your payment method on file for loan fees, applicable taxes, extension fees, and — where a loss, theft, or damage event applies under Section 5 — replacement or repair costs up to the item's full appraised value.
You agree to care for every borrowed item with the same diligence you would apply to a piece of your own of equivalent value, and to use it only for its intended purpose.
Every item is insured for its full appraised value while on loan, as described on our Provenance & Authentication page. This coverage protects against accidental loss or damage arising from ordinary use.
You remain responsible for:
Items must be returned or made available for pickup by the agreed end of the loan period. Late returns may incur a daily late fee, disclosed at booking, and repeated late returns may affect your standing as a member.
If an item is not returned within a reasonable period following the agreed return date and we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to treat the item as lost and to charge its full appraised value in accordance with Section 5.
Because pieces are one-of-one and reserved specifically for you, cancellations and date changes are handled individually rather than by automated policy. Contact Client Services as early as possible, and we will do what we reasonably can to accommodate a change — subject to whether another member is waiting on the same piece.
Cancellation fees, if any, will be disclosed to you directly and will depend on how close to the loan date the change is requested.
Every item in the collection is independently authenticated prior to being made available for loan, as described on our Provenance & Authentication page. We stand behind the authenticity of every piece we lend.
If you have a good-faith concern about an item's authenticity or condition, notify us immediately and refrain from further use until the matter is resolved.
Businesses — including stylists, boutiques, and event professionals — may apply for membership subject to the same review and approval process as individuals. Additional terms may apply to business accounts, including:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Privé Rotations's liability arising out of your membership or any loan is limited to the fees paid for the loan giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use or reputational harm, arising from a delayed delivery, an unavailable piece, or a similar service interruption.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We do not publicize member identities, loan history, or piece selections. Personal and business information you provide is used solely to operate your membership, process payments, and communicate with you — never sold, and never shared beyond what's required to fulfill a loan (such as insurance or delivery partners bound by confidentiality).
You may close your membership at any time by contacting Client Services, provided all outstanding loans have been returned and settled. We may suspend or terminate a membership for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that puts the collection or other members at risk, with notice where reasonably possible.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Privé Rotations is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We encourage resolving any concern directly with Client Services first — most issues are resolved that way. Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, the specific venue and dispute resolution process (including any arbitration provision) will be set out in your membership agreement.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated to members directly before taking effect. Continued use of your membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be directed to Client Services through our Contact page, or in writing to the address provided in your membership agreement.
