What we know,
and why.

Discretion is the entire premise of this business. This explains exactly what information we collect, how it's used, and the limits we hold ourselves to — for members and site visitors alike.

01Our Approach to Privacy

Discretion isn't a policy at Privé Rotations — it's the reason members trust us with pieces worth more than most cars. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the boundaries we hold ourselves to, whether you're a member, an applicant, or simply visiting the site.

This policy applies to information collected through our website, our membership process, and the course of arranging and fulfilling loans. It does not apply to third-party sites we may link to.

02Information We Collect

We collect only what's needed to evaluate a membership request, administer an active membership, and fulfill a loan.

Information You Provide

  • Contact details — name, email, phone number, and mailing or shipping address.
  • Business information, where applicable — business name, type, and authorized contact.
  • Billing information — processed through our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
  • Referral information, if you were introduced by an existing member.
  • Anything you choose to share in a message, application, or conversation with Client Services.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Basic technical data when you visit our site — browser type, device type, and general location (city-level, not precise).
  • Site usage patterns, such as which pages are viewed, collected in aggregate through analytics tools described in Section 6.

03How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review and respond to membership requests personally — every application is read by a person, not sorted by an algorithm.
  • Administer your membership, including scheduling, delivery, returns, and billing for loans.
  • Communicate with you about your account, an active loan, or a request you've submitted.
  • Maintain the security, authenticity records, and insurance documentation tied to each piece in the collection.
  • Improve the site and our operations, using aggregated, non-identifying information where possible.

We do not use your information to build an advertising profile, and we do not run targeted advertising based on your activity with us.

04What We Never Do

  • We never sell your personal information, to anyone, for any reason.
  • We never publicize a member's identity, loan history, or piece selections.
  • We never share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We never use your data to train third-party AI or machine learning models without your explicit, separate consent.
Note — This is the same discretion we extend to how a piece is handled physically — no unnecessary hands, no unnecessary exposure.

05Who We Share Information With

We share information only where it's necessary to operate your membership or fulfill a loan, and always under confidentiality obligations consistent with this policy:

  • Payment processors — to securely process loan fees, deposits, and business invoicing.
  • Insurance providers — to insure items while on loan and process a claim if one arises.
  • Delivery and courier partners — solely the information needed to complete a delivery or pickup.
  • Professional advisors — such as legal or accounting counsel, bound by their own confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities — only where required by law, such as a valid subpoena or court order.

06Cookies & Site Analytics

Our website uses a limited set of cookies to keep the site functional and to understand, in aggregate, how it's used — for example, which pages are visited most. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, and we do not participate in third-party ad networks.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality, such as staying signed in to the member portal.

07Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your membership is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, insurance, and record-keeping obligations tied to past loans. Declined applications are retained only briefly, unless you ask us to keep your information on file for future consideration.

You may request deletion of your information at any time, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 9.

08Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including restricting access to personal and billing information to those who need it to do their work. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we treat your information with the same seriousness we treat the pieces in the collection.

09Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal, tax, or insurance retention requirements tied to past loans.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact Client Services through our Contact page. We'll respond personally, not with an automated ticket number.

10Business Accounts

Where you apply or borrow on behalf of a business, we collect business contact and billing information in addition to the individual authorized to act on the business's behalf. We are not responsible for that business's own handling of information belonging to its employees or clients — including, for example, a stylist's own client roster.

11Children's Privacy

Membership is available only to individuals 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

12International Visitors

Privé Rotations operates in the United States, and information we collect is generally processed and stored there. If you're visiting or applying from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, and processed in, the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

13Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated to members directly before taking effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

14Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your personal information, can be directed to Client Services through our Contact page, or in writing to the address provided in your membership agreement.
